Industry exhibitions are recognised as an essential tool in sustaining and improving the organisations relationship with its stakeholders. For this reason the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) always jumps at the opportunity to attend exhibtions hosted by the profession. These exhibitions provide the SAPC a platform where we can share, explain and answer to stakeholders on processes, resolutions, services and activities.
After three years of meticulous planning, 2019 saw the SAPC hosting its most successful conference yet, the highly antipated 3rd National Pharmacy Conference. The conference gathered industry leaders from all over the country, pharmacists, pharmacy support personnel and other industry stakeholders.
Stakeholder enagement opportunities, such as industry exhibitions, continue to play an important role in helping our stakeholders understand the role of SAPC to ensuring a sustained good image of the pharmacy profession, sustained professional status, and ensuring that only.
The following events were attended by the SAPC in the second half of 2019:
- Independent Community Pharmacy Association (ICPA) Conference at the Emperors Palace, 17-18 August 2019
- Annual Gauteng Pharmaceutical Services Conference 2019 at the Birchwood Hotel, 19-20 September 2019
- Clicks Healthcare Conference at the Emperors Palace, 6-8 November 2019

In March 2020, the Office of the Registrar was invited to attend the SAAHIP 34th Annual Conference, held at the Velmorè Hotel and Spa. The conference took place from the 12-15 March 2020. The SAPC Registrar/CEO, Mr Amos Masango, delivered a keynote address to the delegates which was also streamed live to the SAPC Facebook page (view the recorded livestream here).
The exhibitions provided an ideal platform for delegates to enquire about their applications, registration processed, take part in a survey to rate the overall service delivery of Council, communicate with Council staff members and participate in competitions.
